UK Passport & Visa Photos are now online.
You will be required to submit a compliant digital image, & Photoland takes the guesswork out of getting passport or visa photo that are UK compliant, and ready for uploading online
The digital photos are bound by the same regulations that apply to standard passport & visa photos, with the UK specific criteria for image quality, image size and pixel size, as noted above. The image is required in JPG format.
Specifications
The UK requires photos that are a minimum of 600x750 pixels, and a maximum of 1200x1500pixels, with a minimum image size of 50KB, & a maximum image size of 10MB.
Head coverings cannot be worn in the photo unless they are worn for religious purposes.

Not able to pop in to the store, no problem, just send us the photo & we will adapt it to meet the UK’s specific digital requirements.
Please view the Photo taking guide below before taking the photo/s to send to us,
- You may use a camera or phone
- Take the photo against a plain or white background
- Ensure the camera is held level in line with the person's head
- Hair off the face & away from the eyebrows.
- A neutral expression, with no smiling or visible teeth
- Bright lighting on the face and surrounding the head, with no shadows
- The photo must be taken from the chest up with the head in the centre and plenty of space around the image for cropping and resizing.
- If you wear spectacles, you may leave them on if you are able to supply a photo without any glare. If not, & most of us cannot, we recommend that you take your specs off
