Wonderful experience. I first went into the store very tentatively, not sure if I ‘needed’ a custom made frame, however, having Victor’s consultative input on the different frame designs and customisable feature was so valuable. In the end Victor helped create a beautiful frame for my father in law’s memorial service sheets. In possession of many deeply sentimental, old (some +80 years), damaged, analog photographs, for the longest time I struggled to find anyone (in NSW or interstate) that could adequately restore the photos to their former beauty. It was an extraordinarily important exercise to me personally, as it was a special means of honouring the memory of my late parents and grandparents, and all the results elsewhere fell well short of the quality I’d hoped for. Photoland was recommended to me by a Sydney street photographer, and I have been overwhelmed by the truly exceptional care, professionalism and skill that Darren, Vic and the broader team have demonstrated time and again, while advising, scanning, restoring and bringing new life to dozens of cherished photographs. $85 for Passport photos? Really, I mean; really?
$69.90 for the photos + $15.00 for Express Service as I needed them within the hour.
The Express charge I've no problem with but charging $70.00 for 2 prints + an email is outrageous.
Then again, those charges obviously aren't a problem for all the gushing 4 star reviewers* here.
Maybe they've been so desensitised to being ripped-off by living in Sydney they think that's acceptable?
*Yeup; must be that. No way they could be paid shills. . . . .

Got my Indian visa passport photos made in no time at all. They knew exactly what dimensions were needed.

There are a few cheaper options if you're willing to wait, but also a 15 min one if you need it in a pinch.

They even mailed a digital version which ended up being useful later in my application.

In Australia, needed a photo for my UK passport. These guys were very friendly and know EXACTLY what is needed to satisfy the UK government. My frame & A0-sized photo print was made and dispatched within the timeframe Vic communicated. It was very well wrapped to protect its transit, and it was very sturdy for its size. I appreciated the note that was include with regards to care advice. The information was very useful and will prevent me from accidentally damaging the print when cleaning it. I would definitely go back to Vic again for my next large-format photo print & frame.

Found this shop online in a hurry today and went in for a visa application photo, and they charged me $69.95 for 2 photos plus a digital copy sent by email. The guy then told me to come back in 3 to 4 hours for pick up, otherwise I can pay extra $12.95 for 15 minutes wait, or pay $6.95 for 30 minutes wait…. I was in a hurry, and paid $6.95 extra. I did get my photos after half an hour wait. However, later I walked past the Australian Post in Martin Place, and found that they only charged $24.95 to do the same thing. I was naturally very disappointed with Photoland.
