The most common causes of Memory Card Failure are listed below:
Removing the memory card from a camera while an image is being written to the card
Removing the card from a memory card reader while files are still being transferred to a computer
Removing the card from a card reader while folders and files from the card are open on a computer
Opening, deleting, renaming or moving files on the card while its contents are open on a computer
Using a memory card which has not been formatted in the camera. Use the delete/erase function when needed, however a card should be regularly formatted.
Formatting a card in a computer instead of the camera
Inserting a second memory card into a card reader before closing and removing the first when viewing images on the card from a computer
Taking photos when camera batteries are nearly empty
Taking photos too rapidly so the camera can not complete writing one image before starting the next
Continually shooting and deleting, shooting and deleting images when the card is full
Letting a memory card get too full before downloading the images to a computer or storage device. Cards that are too full may overwrite the card headers.
Using a memory card from one camera in a different camera without formatting it in the new camera first

Wonderful experience. I first went into the store very tentatively, not sure if I ‘needed’ a custom made frame, however, having Victor’s consultative input on the different frame designs and customisable feature was so valuable. In the end Victor helped create a beautiful frame for my father in law’s memorial service sheets. Fantastic service! Quick (I’m talking sonic fast - got my prints in less than 15 mins), efficient, friendly and made sure what requirements were needed for the country I needed my passport photo taken for were right. Found this shop online in a hurry today and went in for a visa application photo, and they charged me $69.95 for 2 photos plus a digital copy sent by email. The guy then told me to come back in 3 to 4 hours for pick up, otherwise I can pay extra $12.95 for 15 minutes wait, or pay $6.95 for 30 minutes wait…. I was in a hurry, and paid $6.95 extra. I did get my photos after half an hour wait. However, later I walked past the Australian Post in Martin Place, and found that they only charged $24.95 to do the same thing. I was naturally very disappointed with Photoland.

Extremely disappointing service and costs - charging $80 for two passport photos and to share the picture digitally. When discussed they were not willing to help or support. Very expensive and better to go elsewhere for the same result and better service.
Had to get a digital ID photo taken and formatted to specific dimensions and Darren and the team at Photoland did a great job. The service and continued support during the process was fantastic.
Had a few rolls of 35mm film (color and b&w) developed here. The color film is developed on site so I had my photos the very next day! B&W is developed off site but were finished in 7 business days. Staff was super lovely as well. Highly recommend!
I've done quite a bit of work with Photoland. The quality of the printing and framing is top notch. Victor has looked after me every time, and he knows how to get a good finish.
Photoland did a great job scanning a bunch of old 35mm transparencies for me recently. The quality was excellent and their staff are super friendly and helpful. I have used them for different services over the years and their location in the city just near Martin Place Station is easy to get to. I highly recommend them.

I would highly recommend photoland. Vic was extremely helpful. We had a hexagon locket to have a photo put in it. We had an old photo and Vic explained all the costings and what he was going to do. When we picked up the Locket the next day the photo quality was excellent and I was very impressed with the results. I will be going back when I need to have more photos put in to the locket. The staff are friendly and his service was amazing.

$20 per each 15x23cm print...That's just ridiculous. Paid less than $1 per individual photo for the exact same format at a different shop not too long ago.
Darren did a fantastic job restoring an old, water damaged and cracked photo of my parents that was about 40 years old. It looks brand new now!Darren had to work to scan the photo from various angles and took extraordinary time and effort to create a perfect restoration. I really appreciate the hard work that went into this - Darren went above and beyond and I'm really happy with the result.
