Victor and his team were a great help organising my newborn son's passport pictures. Best place to get photos printed anywhere close to Sydney CBD. We got large photos printed which we planned on hanging around the house and they came out great. Photoland even helped fix the colouring of the final product as the photo files weren’t edited the best. The have a colour calibrated monitor so they are able to ensure the colour editing comes out exactly how it looks while editing/fixing. This will be our go to place to get photos printed in future

Would definitely recommend to a friend.I ordered two small locket photos by email and postal delivery. The response to emails was fast and included all the relevant information and answered all my questions so it was very efficient. Payment was easily made over the phone. The photos fit perfectly and are very clear and detailed despite being small enough to fit in a tiny locket. They gave me lots of copies in three different sizes for each photo which was very helpful. Will definitely use again!

I used their services twice. The first time I had no complaints, the printed photos came out well and were of good quality. On the second time I left an old camera with them with an old film still inside. Both the person who served me and I saw them film inside when I dropped the camera off. Well - they somehow managed to lose the film, and tried to convince me that I must have been mistaken and no film was left in the camera. Very disappointed I will not use their services again

After two miserable attempts at officeworks and aus post, I took the initiative to take my own photo of my 3 week old for her passport. I then was able to email photoland with my attempts where Victor came back to me within the hour advising that one of the photos he could use to comply with passport regulations. We thought our aim was simple. To digitally restore and enhance an old analogue photo of a loved one for a memorial plaque. Initially, we scanned and emailed the photo to three self-proclaimed specialists online and paid lavishly. The results were poor. Next, we purchased (Photoshop clone) software and attempted to restore in-house; again the outcome was inadequate. Finally, in desperation, we rang Photoland and luckily for us, Darren answered.Straightaway we knew this is a photographic expert, confident in his technical ability, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient and, importantly, patient. Experiencing Darren’s service over the phone and in-person, we believe his customer relations ‘mantra’ can be summarised as listen, advise, assist and, consequently, provide what the customer desired/envisioned.After receiving our restored photo digitally and in print, we were impressed by how Darren surpassed our expectations, both in quality and artistic improvement. Great service, quick and fine job.I was in a hurry to get a proper photo for my passport which was rejected to renew at the embassy 30 min ago because of the quality of the photo I took myself was not good enough. (though I thought it was...)Anyways, when I rushed to this shop (which the staff at the embassy recommended), the front door of the shop was locked and there was a sign on the door.I thought "Uh-ho, of course. it is corvid -19..." I was hesitating if I should call the number on the sign because the time I had was very tight. (there was only about 40min till the embassy closed) But when I was about to get my phone, the gentleman inside the shop showed up at the front door and unlocked it!I explained him what I needed and that I did not have enough time too ...etc (in my not good enough English)I think It would not work in that way especially because of on this virus situation.However !! the gentleman ( I think he must have felt sorry for me because I must have looked desperate) let me in and had a quick job for my photo without any extra charge which apparently they normally did.So I could make it in time.I was lucky to get there ;) They were so helpful.

We were having a lot of trouble getting our Visa Photo's for China , We live in Batemans Bay so there is not a great number of Photographers to choose from and none were able to help . We rang around Canberra and the same story . I was looking on Tripadvisor China Forums and found a recommendation for Photoland in Elizabeth st Sydney , I gave them a call and they were so helpful . We dove to Nowra and got the Train to Martin Place and a few minutes later we were in Photoland . Just a few minutes and our Photo's were taken . Wonderful experience. I first went into the store very tentatively, not sure if I ‘needed’ a custom made frame, however, having Victor’s consultative input on the different frame designs and customisable feature was so valuable. In the end Victor helped create a beautiful frame for my father in law’s memorial service sheets. As you can imagine, this was a sensitive thing to put in someone else’s hands but the team treated everything with such care and the finished product looks amazing.Thanks guys, would 100% recommend.

#aboveandbeyond Victor and the Photoland team produced the most fantastic framed photo gift for me to surprise my partner with. They combined the half marathon medal and number with a photo from the finish line - the end product far surpassed my expectations . Real customer service, great communication - no wonder they are the only photo framing place in the CBD. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Thanks again Victor.

I write to sing the praises of the Photoland Sydney team. What a total treat to receive fantastic service from the crew at Photoland last week! The staff was friendly and exceptionally efficient. The photos conformed to the exacting requirements of the Chinese visa-issuing authorities. Photoland was every bit as competent as other satisfied customers had led me to expect. Chinese visa photos have stringent requirements; Photoland is across all of them (no glasses, no jewellery, no teeth showing, no smiling, no white shirts). Full marks!In other news, I have been told by many Lithuanians who get their passport photos taken at Photoland, that the Photoland passport photo product is accepted by the Lithuanian authorities, without demur.Thank you, Victor & Team Photoland!GintaApril 2019

I recently received outstanding service from the team at Photoland which saved my sanity! On a recent trip to the Serengeti (Africa) when reviewing several hundred priceless photos my fat thumb deleted the entire lot on the Micro SD card. I was totally devastated obviously. On a recommendation and after a discussion with Photoland I mailed the card to them and within a week they sent me a USB with my 299 recovered photos! It came with a new USB, my old card, some written advice and all sealed in ziplock bags. You can imagine my relief but aside from that the service was absolutely first class even if it had been for a simpler service. These guys are totally reliable and trustworthy and highly competent. (Ps. Yes I have learned my lesson!)

I have used Victor and his team at Photoland for many years to develop and print my photos. They have always done an excellent job. Recently they advised me on the paper and framing for a photo that I wanted in a large print and assisted with post production (to a level that i couldn't achieve myself). The print in now hanging in pride of place and I couldn't be happier with it. I can unreservedly recommend Victor and his team.

It resolved my purpose for which I went in, i.e., they gave me my passport photos the way I wanted. But $34 for 4 photos, it's way too much.The thing I disliked about them was the thrifty attitude when I wanted the raw soft copy of my pic. I had to take another 15 dollars package for that but the pic they gave me was just 170KB. Normally, when you take photo from a DSLR, it's a minimum of 5MB. With 170KB, I won't have any option of reuse it properly for other purposes, the pixels will disorient if I try to expand or reduce that. In simple terms, they want the customers to turn back to them every time.This pathetic customer service forced me to figure out alternatives where I could print 10 pics in 10 dollars. Never going back there again!!
